Performance based Search Assignments / Headhunting
The benefits of TimesTalent’s Executive Search Process:
Using TimesTalent’s performance based Executive Search Process is the fastest, most efficient and cost effective way of filling an urgent or highly specialized vacancy because:
| A dedicated team of international search professionals will be handling the assignment from start to finish. (Teams are limited to only a single local and a single international assignment at any time – this ensures dedication, focus and fast delivery on spec) | |
| The client will be updated every step of the process. | |
| Valuable market intelligence becomes available to the client. | |
| The client has a single point of contact directly with the assignment team leader – a senior consultant that specializes in your field. | |
| Access to massive local and international databases and years’ worth of networking contacts in your specialist field. (Most candidates that are headhunted are not actively on the market and are therefore invisible on job boards that contingency recruiters use) | |
| Clients have the peace of mind that they will interview only the correct people as specified in the agreed assignment parameters, in an agreed time frame.(This enables clients to continue focusing on their business instead of the recruitment process in the meantime) | |
| Clients do not have to be bothered by contingency recruiters who call, discuss and submit less than perfect candidates because they have nothing to lose by doing so. | |
| The assignment is handled with the utmost professionalism and confidentiality as required by the client, keeping sensitive issues controlled | |
| What can a client expect? | |
| |
A senior executive search consultant will confirm a meeting with the client to discuss the exact requirements of the position. |
| |
Once the detailed specification, parameters and assignment timeframe is agreed upon, TimesTalent will invoice for the initial commissioning fee. |
| |
The assignment will commence immediately when the commissioning fee has been paid. |
| |
At this stage the client can sit back confidently knowing that they will receive the agreed amount of shortlisted candidate profiles on the agreed date in future. |
| |
All candidates will be thoroughly interviewed, reference checked, background checked and prepared for all aspects of the interview. |
| |
The assignment team leader assists the client in arranging final interviews and necessary travel arrangements. |
| |
After the final interviews the client decides which candidate to offer the position to, and is then assisted by TimesTalent in formulating an offer that is perfectly structured and fair towards the client and the candidate. |
| |
Once the candidate accepts, TimesTalent assists the candidate in the skillful art of resigning and then keeps closely in touch with the new employee during their notice period to ensure that they commence on the agreed date. (Deflecting counteroffers and other negative situations) The remaining recruitment fee is only payable once the candidate commences service. |
| What are the costs? | |
| The costs of using TimesTalent’s Executive Search process is very economical, especially when considering the costs of having an important vacant position, loss of business, loss of efficiency, loss of productivity, time value of money and opportunity costs. | |
| |
A commissioning/retainer fee is paid upfront (1/3rd of the expected fee) to ensure that both parties are committed and focused on results. |
| |
The biggest problem that large companies face when recruiting Top Talent is that contingency recruiters almost never go the extra mile simply because they work on risk – no placement results in no fee, and recruiters therefore need to prioritize their actions on where they see the most potential for success. (Clearly, hard to fill vacancies do not fall in this category – hence the need for Executive Search) They therefore do not commit fully because they realize that the entire process can fail at any stage, for various reasons, such as business requirements change, the position could be filled by a competitor etc. |
| |
The most effective way of filling urgent, senior, sensitive and specialized positions is to go the extra mile, and to do that, commitment and exclusivity is required. |
| |
When compared to contingency recruitment, the costs are virtually identical, but the results are certain, thus resulting in less risk for the client. Having management spend time during the process and potentially restarting the exercise after a failed recruitment attempt can end up costing many times the total fee of an Executive Search Assignment. |
| |
Only when the candidate commences employment does the remaining portion of the fee become payable. |
